religious diversity in the workplace intern

Summer 2009

Tanenbaum pioneered the work in religious diversity in the workplace. A global study by the International Labor Organization of the U.N. cited Tanenbaum as one of only a few organizations worldwide doing this work. We conduct national surveys and work directly with national and international corporations, government agencies, institutions of higher learning and leading not-for-profits to train them on how to address issues of religious bias and accommodation in an increasingly diverse workforce. We provide briefings and workshops, panel discussions, policy reviews and counseling on best practices.

religion and diversity education intern

Summer 2009

Tanenbaum's Religion and Diversity Education program trains educators to establish classrooms that celebrate pluralism and practice respect.
Within this program, a variety of curricula teaching respect for differences are offered that are literacy-based, standards-referenced, and academically integrated. Our Religion and Diversity Education is a unique multicultural and multi-religious curricular program for elementary school children in grades K-6. COEXIST: A Skills-Based Curriculum for Understanding Conflict Resolution trains high school educators to teach difficult lessons on intergroup relations, including concrete skills to prevent and overcome conflicts resulting from religious and cultural differences.
