From Conversation to Action:
Putting the Theology of Peace into Practice in the Muslim and Jewish Traditions, NY, NY
Tanenbaum will facilitate a two-day program hosted by Imam Shamsi Ali of the Islamic Cultural Center and Rabbi Aaron Panken of Hebrew Union College.  The program brings together 10 seminarians from Hebrew Union College and 10 students of the Qur’an for a unique exchange and training on religion, conflict resolution and peaceful coexistence. Participants will also be asked to commit to take one action toward improving Muslim-Jewish relations.

Religious Responses to Conflict: Lessons Learned and Practical Strategies for Peacebuilding,  Washington, D.C.
Many claims are made about how this or that method of intervening in conflicts “may” or “can” have beneficial effects. But over 15 years of post-Cold War experience in dealing with intra-state conflicts has brought the international community to the point where more rigorous evaluations of all such approaches is now being called for. One of the most widely touted approaches draws on religious faiths and religious leaders as possible peacemakers.
